In my practice, I use warmth, curiosity, compassion, challenge, straightforwardness, kindness, and humor to meet you wherever you are in a given moment. Learning, growth, meaning, and healing all happen in the context of relationships. We will build a relationship centered on trust and safety from which we can explore your mind and experiences together.

Every single part of you is welcome in the room with me and in relationship with me. I believe every part of you exists for an important reason, which we can learn about through conversation and experience with one another. Together, we will cultivate and use curiosity to gain understanding about:

  • where your suffering comes from

  • what is important to you

  • how you would like to relate to yourself and others

  • what the ingredients of a meaningful life are for you

  • who you are!

    & so much more…

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

I work as a psychotherapist in private practice in Baltimore City.

My clinical career started at the Johns Hopkins Center for Transgender Health where I worked with people preparing for and recovering from gender affirming surgeries. I then did mitigation work for the Maryland state and federal public defender offices, as well as an independent criminal defense firm where I continue to work on select appellate cases.

I began work as a therapist at an outpatient mental health clinic in Baltimore County. I practiced with the Baltimore Center for Psychotherapy before moving to private practice.

training

I completed my undergraduate studies in psychology at New York University and my graduate studies in social work at Washington University in St. Louis.

I received two years of training in psychodynamic theory and practice at the Baltimore Center for Psychotherapy. I currently participate in a weekly psychoanalytic study group.
